The night
A brass band does not hold a pose, so you shoot the movement instead.
The Hot 8 Brass Band brought the Big Tuba Tour to the Mojo Club — a set between second line, funk and hip-hop, played in a room that sits below the street above it.
We photographed the evening as one continuous run rather than a list of moments: the horn section and the stage, the room in backlight, and the walks between the numbers. The selection below is in the order it happened.
